Reports indicate that Nishad was found deceased at his residence in Kochi during the early hours of Wednesday, October 30.

According to Malayalam media outlets, the renowned film editor Nishadh Yusuf has passed away at the age of 43. His body was discovered in his Panampilly Nagar apartment around 2 a.m. As of now, the police have not disclosed the cause of death, and investigations are ongoing without any official statements released at this time.
The Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA) Directors’ Union confirmed his passing on its official Facebook page. They celebrated Nishad’s significant impact on contemporary Malayalam cinema and lamented his untimely loss, stating, “The unexpected demise of Nishadh Yusuf, film editor, who played a major role in determining the contemporary future of the changing Malayalam cinema is not something the film world will be able to quickly accept. Condolences from FEFKA Directors’ Union.”
While some regional media have suggested that his death may be a suicide, no official confirmation has been provided by law enforcement. The Kerala Police are actively investigating the matter and are exploring all possibilities.
